Meydenbaur Center
Ashe County, NC Agricultural Event Center

The Ashe County, NC Farm Bureau has retained Strategic Venue Studies to prepare a market and feasibility study of a new event agriculture center that will serve as a venue for livestock and agricultural exhibitions, meetings, expos, and other community activities. SVS will prepare a local market and peer venue analysis, resulting in building program recommendations. SVS will also provide business planning services and prepare a detailed projection of event demand and attendance and of the financial operations. SVS will then assess the economic and fiscal impacts of the new center on Ashe County.
Air Classics Museum of Aviation Event Center
Sugar Grove, IL

Air Classics Museum, Inc. has engaged Strategic Venue Studies to prepare a feasibility study for a new event center to be developed in conjunction with a new museum facility. Work will include the evaluation of the local market and an analysis of peer aviation museums throughout the country. SVS will recommend an event center program and project future use from a variety of business and social events as well as museum-related activities. SVS will also prepare a detailed projection of financial operations and assess the economic and fiscal impacts on the City of Sugar Grove and surrounding Kane County.
Beaufort, SC Event Center

The Greater Beaufort-Port Royal Convention and Visitors Bureau has retained Strategic Venue Studies to prepare a market and feasibility study of a new event center in Beaufort, SC that will serve as a venue for meeting and sports-related activities. The study is being performed in conjunction with Destination Planning Services provided by Magellan Strategy Group. SVS will prepare a local market and peer venue analysis, resulting in building program recommendations. SVS will also conduct an event planner survey to help determine potential interest and use of the proposed event center. SVS will also prepare a detailed projection of financial operations and assess the economic and fiscal impacts on Beaufort and surrounding cities.
Snider Building Redevelopment
Graham County, NC

Strategic Venues Studies, in association with Magellan Strategy Group, has been retained by the Graham County Historical Association to prepare a study of the adaptive reuse of the former Snider’s General Store in Robbinsville, NC. Currently in process, this project includes a series of focus group workshops and an online survey of local residents. SVS developed multiple reuse options and evaluated the start-up costs and feasibility for each use. Based on a recommended reuse scenario, SVS prepared a detailed analysis of financial operations and evaluated the impacts on the local community.
Solar4America Ice Centre
San Jose, CA

Strategic Venues Studies has been retained by the City of San Jose to assess the feasibility of the proposed expansion of the Solar4America Ice Center, including an AHL arena that will be the home of the San Jose Barracuda. This ongoing project is evaluating the impact of two additional ice sheets on the financial operations of the facility and preparing an independent assessment of income available for debt service. Work includes interviews with existing users and tenants, an analysis of sports participation trends, a peer venue analysis, and the projection of future use and financial operations. The City will use the results of this study when considering the approval of the project’s bond financing.
